The Terms aim at promoting the highest quality standards for the benefit of a vast majority of users (the "Students") at the expense of rules that try to limit the abuse of few. For most of you, these Terms give you the permission (the "Right") to use all the resources and advice (the "Material") you can reasonably obtain from this Website for your own personal development and to our best ability of providing it. Misconduct will generally first be signalled by sending an e-mail to the Student and, depending on our (the "Teacher") judgment, by temporarily blocking the the Account until an explanation is received. In severe cases, we reserve the right to contact the local academic authorities and to radiate the Student from the Website with no refund of fees.

Terms, Rules and Rights

Registration
Anybody with a valid e-mail address (the "E-mail"), who properly fills in the registration form and agrees with the Terms in this web page can open an Account to download the course software. A user access code (the "Password") is automatically returned by e-mail and should remain secret.

Personal Account
Student Accounts are strictly personal and cannot be shared between different users. Students login using their E-mail / Password pairs. To prevent unauthorized users who have access to the same terminal from entering without permission, steal and / or destroy data, it is the Student's responsibility to always logout and close the web browser at the end of every session. This will in effect destroy the encrypted "cookie" that is temporarily stored to grant your permission.

Payment
Students from outside KTH/Stockholm and CTH/Gothenburg are kindly requested to pay a small fee to support similar developments:

Holders of American Express, Visa or Eurocard / Mastercard can use their credit card and perform the payment over the web at no extra cost using the secured PayPal service.
A bank transfer to UBS, 1110 Morges, Switzerland, payable to André Jaun, IBAN-nbr CH92 0024 3243 G255 4465 1 (clearing-nbr 0243, swift address UBSWCHZH10A, account G2-554,465.1) is probably the quickest alternative. Please send an e-mail for information about your payment and allow for at least 3 working days processing time.
A Eurocheque or a Bankers Draft can be sent by regular mail together with a printout of the registration form to André Jaun, NADA, Royal Institute of Technology, SE-100 44 Stockholm, Sweden. Please allow for at least 14 days processing time.

Discounts of 66% are sometimes granted to full time students who are affiliated with a public academic institution; in effect, they have to pay for only one module to obtain all three. External teachers may apply for a special offer if they want to distribute the software to the students in their own class. Tuition fee exemption is moreover granted on demand to a limited number of distance-learning students from developing countries. In all cases, a letter of motivation with a reference to contact are to be send electronically to André Jaun.

Download
Qualifying Students can download the software directly from their accounts. Unless explicitly authorized by the copyright holders, they may however not share the software with other users.
